Maap W1 Wall light

Wall light - Experimental lighting design with the Flos Maap W1 wall light

The Maap W1 wall light from Flos is far more than a classic light source - it is a sculptural light installation that merges architecture and design. Created by the renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, it stands for an innovative approach to material, form and lighting effect.
The special feature of the Maap W1 lies in its unique design: a cross-shaped metal structure with integrated light sources supports a large diffuser that is attached magnetically. This consists of an extremely light, tear-resistant, paper-like material that is deliberately crumpled by hand. This creates an individual, organic surface for each installation - no two luminaires are the same.
Designed as a "light surface" rather than a punctual light source, the Maap creates a soft, uniform and immersive light. It transforms entire wall areas into an atmospheric field of light and creates an almost artistic spatial effect. Made of painted steel and innovative fiber materials, the luminaire combines technical precision with experimental design. The four light sources (E27, not included) ensure even illumination, while the flexible shape allows for a personal interpretation of the design.
The Maap series is also modular and available in several sizes, allowing entire lighting landscapes to be created on the wall - from individual objects to large-scale installations.
With the Flos Maap W1 wall light, you are opting for an extraordinary design object that combines light, material and creative freedom - ideal for anyone who sees lighting as an art form.
