Timeless chair with a geometric backrest
The Grand Prix™ chair by Arne Jacobsen was unveiled by Fritz Hansen in 1957 at the Spring Exhibition of Danish Arts and Crafts at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen. That same year, the chair was exhibited at the Milan Triennale, where it received the fair’s highest honor—the Grand Prix. Since then, it has been known as the Grand Prix™ Chair. Originally, the Grand Prix Chair was offered with a wood and steel frame. Today, it is available as standard with a chrome-plated steel frame and is an ideal multipurpose chair for cafeterias, conference rooms, offices, and living spaces. It is lightweight and stackable and, upon request, available in various colors and wood types or upholstered in fabric or leather. In addition, the Grand Prix Chair is available in three different heights as well as with a satin-chrome or black-lacquered base.
