KAISER idell 6718 Scissor-style Wall Sconce

Bauhaus-Style Wall Sconce

The KAISER idell 6718 “Scherenleuchte” wall sconce from Fritz Hansen was designed by Christian Dell in 1931 and unmistakably embodies the Bauhaus style of that era. During his time at the Bauhaus, Christian Dell had a profound influence on the style and left behind, among other things, numerous lighting fixtures that have lost none of their charm to this day. The “ 6718 ” Scissor Wall Sconce also captivates with its timeless design and versatility.

With an extendable arm

While the lampshade is characterized by a slanted bell shape, the arm is vaguely reminiscent of an accordion, hinting at its flexibility. Depending on your needs, the arm can extend to a length between 47 and 89 cm, adapting perfectly to individual requirements. The shade is also swiveling and can be positioned to provide direct downward light or cozy, indirect upward light.

Swivelable Lampshade

Mounted on the wall above a desk, the “ 6718 ” scissor lamp serves as an excellent reading light, while mounted above a kitchen counter, for example, it provides perfect lighting for cooking. With both functional and aesthetic appeal, this lamp—crafted from steel, brass, and chrome—blends seamlessly into any setting, bringing a piece of design history with industrial influences into your home.
