The result of this creative process was the Swan and the Egg—two armchairs that are both true design classics today. In 1958, the Swan Armchair was a technological innovation, and its design caused a sensation: The Swan has no straight lines, only curves. This gives it a graceful and inviting appearance. The popularity and quality of the Swan armchair is also evident in the fact that it is featured in various design museums around the world, including the Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
