Coppia Table Lamp

Stylish table lamp made of stainless steel and plexiglass

The Coppia table lamp by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt embodies the perfect balance between design and sculpture—a hallmark of her work as a lighting designer. The name & “Coppia &,” the Italian word for & “pair &,” reflects the idea of duality and pairings. With its combination of stainless steel and plexiglass, the lamp also exudes a touch of 1950s and 1960s style. The lamp consists of two sets of Plexiglas panels of different sizes, elegantly secured within a curved stainless steel frame. These panels diffuse and scatter the light from the central bulbs, creating beautiful reflections on the steel surface. Open areas in the structure invite the viewer to explore the interior of the lamp and fully appreciate the depth of the design. In this way, Coppia becomes more than just a lamp—it becomes a sculpture that plays with light, form, and material, and influences the space with color and shape. Thanks to its sturdy base, the Coppia can be used as both a table lamp and a floor lamp. It can be balanced on either its larger or smaller disc and can be easily moved from a desk to a nightstand, or from a shelf to a windowsill. No matter where it’s placed—Coppia leaves an artistic impression, whether it’s on or off.
