Teema Teapot with Lid

Timeless Porcelain Teapot with Lid

This teapot with lid is part of the “ Teema ” tableware series by Kaj Franck and Iittala . It features the timeless original design from 1952 and pairs effortlessly with any tea or coffee cup. Simple elegance and versatility are the qualities that made Kaj Franck’s “ Teema ” one of the most sought-after tableware sets in Scandinavia—and these are the very qualities that define this teapot as well. It eschews all ornamentation and decoration, reduced exclusively to the essentials. The circle, square, and rectangle are the basic shapes that already fascinated the ancient Greeks and that Kaj Franck also found so irresistible that he made them the theme of “ Teema .” Kaj Franck originally designed the “ Teema ” teapot for serving coffee. Although the 1-liter teapot soon evolved into a teapot, it is still ideal for serving coffee and other hot beverages. Thus, the teapot with its lid fills a gap in the “ Teema ” collection from Iittala and allows for serving hot beverages in the popular “ Teema ” design.
