Description

Pendant Light Made of 12 Winged Light Bulbs

The Birdie pendant light by Ingo Maurer is an extraordinary light fixture consisting of 12 light bulbs with wings. These are attached to a thin, tinned copper wire, so that—especially in the dark—they look like glowing birds. This bathes children’s rooms, as well as living rooms and hallways, in a mysterious, warm-white light.

Copper Wire and Goose Feathers

The lamp’s frame is made of tinned copper wire, while the wings on the LED bulbs are handcrafted from real goose feathers. Birdie’s twisted rods were also hand-shaped by skilled artisans and are available in various color options. As the user, you can bend and stretch the rods into their final position.
