Side Table/Stool with a Gnome-Like Look

Attila, Napoleon, and Saint-Esprit are the three “Gnomi” that can be used as both side tables and stools. These three charming figures by designer Philippe Starck are a playful take on the little garden gnomes that adorn countless gardens and front yards—not just in Germany. Despite their humorous and charming design, the practical utility of the three gnomes hasn’t been overlooked: Attila holds a tabletop aloft, Saint-Esprit is a tree trunk cut flat, and Napoleon’s cap is flat and round, so that each of the figures can be used as a small side table or stool. Kartell manufactures the gnomes from lacquered, thermoplastic technopolymer. Attila, Napoleon, and Saint-Esprit are therefore also suitable for outdoor use, just like their real-life counterparts, the garden gnomes. In addition to the colorful version, the two gnomes Attila and Napoleon are also available in black and gold finishes.
