Multifunctional Wire Basket
The " Classic 80 "wire
basket, with its two handles, is one of the classic baskets from Korbo . It makes it easy to carry even heavy items. It is therefore ideal for every conceivable storage purpose—for example, for potatoes, balls, gloves, laundry, as a wastebasket, for garden leaves, or as a magazine rack.Handmade wire baskets from Sweden
Korbo ’s handmade wire baskets trace their history back to Sweden in the early 1920s. These baskets are timeless and beautiful tools that were once used by farmers and fishermen for reliable transport and storage. They withstand wind and weather exceptionally well and wear down only very slowly. They also do not tear and are, overall, very difficult to damage seriously.Galvanized steel & & stainless steel
Korbo ’s baskets are available in two steel varieties—galvanized
steel or stainless steel. Both types are rust-free.Galvanization is a process used to prevent corrosion by applying a physical barrier of zinc to the surface. Galvanized steel has been used successfully for over 150 years, and over time, the wire develops a beautiful, matte patina. Stainless steel, on the other hand, contains nickel and molybdenum, which combine with the steel to form a completely rust-resistant alloy. Unlike galvanized wire, stainless steel is not only protected from corrosion on the surface but is completely rust-resistant. Stainless steel baskets remain shiny, no matter what environments or weather conditions they are exposed to.
Hand-Woven Baskets
Thehand-woven baskets
are all crafted using exactly the same technique. This unique construction consists of a single long wire that is hand-woven without the use of any welding equipment.Accessories
With a variety of accessories, the baskets can be used in many different ways. With a fabric liner, they serve as laundry baskets; with a plant liner, as flower pots; or simply as storage for newspapers, firewood, toys, and many other items.
