Inspired by Aino-Maija Metsola's forest stories, the Kurre (Squirrel) pattern depicts a lively scene of squirrels collecting and hiding nuts - a nostalgic homage to the designer's childhood encounters with these playful animals. The original artwork was carefully produced on paper using brush and ink.
