Cotton Pillowcase with a Striped Design

This Piccolo cotton pillowcase from Marimekko was printed in Helsinki. Featuring a concealed zipper on one side and double-stitched seams along the edges, this pillowcase combines functionality with style. Notably, 25% of the cotton used in this product is organically grown, while another 25% is recycled, underscoring Marimekko ’s commitment to sustainability.

Piccolo by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi

In 1953, the same year Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi joined Marimekko , she introduced Piccolo—a vibrant, striped fabric pattern featuring expressive brushstrokes. Three years later, the Jokapoika (Every Boy) shirt, made from this fabric, became a popular staple in stores and on the streets, cementing its enduring appeal.
