Halten Side Table SH9

Versatile Side Table with a Modern Design

When German designer Sebastian Herkner created the “ Halten Side Table SH9 ” for “ & &Tradition,” his goal was to design a portable side table that is so versatile it would complement any armchair, sofa, or ottoman. The solution was a linear structure with a handle that makes it easy to move the table as needed. The name “ & ” (“Halten & ”), derived from the German words for “ & ” (“to hold, to stay, and to last & ”), captures the concept of creating a moment of pause wherever the side table is placed. Every element—from its sturdiness to its mobility—reflects deliberate choices aimed at achieving coherence. This demonstrates Herkner’s meticulous attention to detail, his appreciation for form, and his use of high-quality materials. Positioned at the perfect height for an average sofa or alongside other side and coffee tables, Halten is designed to be the ideal companion. The tabletops are available in elegant Verde Guatemala marble or smoked cast glass, paired with polished stainless steel or warm black powder-coated steel for the base.
