Pendant Light – A Floating Light Sculpture with the Flamingo 1530 by Vibia
The Flamingo 1530 LED pendant light seems almost weightless as it Vibia . Designed by Antoni Arola, it deconstructs the classic pendant light by separating the light source from the shade. Translucent diffusers made of thermoplastic material combine with separate LED light sources to give the fixture its characteristic, ethereal appearance.
The LED sources project their light onto the seemingly transparent diffusers, creating an interplay of soft ambient light and focused illumination. It is precisely this separation of the light source and diffuser that makes the individual elements appear light and almost as if they were floating freely in the space. This makes Flamingo suitable for both private living and dining areas as well as for prestigious commercial spaces.
The Flamingo 1530 is equipped with three 5.6-watt LED modules and has a net weight of 7 kg. Various finishes—such as white, graphite, gold, and copper—allow for customization to match any interior. In this way, the pendant light combines functional lighting with a sculptural presence that transforms light itself into a design element.
