Anagram flexible modular sofa

Flexible modular sofa by Panter & Tourron,

The Anagram sofa by Panter & Tourron for Vitra is far more than just an ordinary piece of seating furniture - it is a flexible system that adapts effortlessly to the changing demands of everyday life and major life changes. Consisting of a family of a few but well thought-out modules, Anagram offers almost infinite design possibilities. The platform modules are designed as islands that can be combined with other modules on all four sides and extended with elements such as back and side rests and add-on tables. Thanks to an innovative click mechanism, these elements can be freely repositioned in a matter of seconds, allowing the sofa to be effortlessly transformed into different configurations - be it a classic L-shaped sofa, a cozy reading corner, a practical sleeping area for guests or a formal seating area. The cushions, which are made entirely from recycled PET fibers and do not contain any animal padding, provide extra comfort. The fabric covers are removable, making them easy to clean and replace. The frame of the sofa is made of robust aluminum with an 80% recycled content and all components are designed so that they can be easily separated and recycled at the end of their life cycle - nothing is glued or laminated. Anagram is the answer to the needs of modern lifestyles and reflects Vitra s commitment to sustainability and thoughtful design. It combines comfort, functionality and aesthetics in a way that is typical of Vitra and offers a flexible, future-oriented solution for modern living spaces. Anagram was developed by Panter & Tourron, a Lausanne-based design studio founded in 2016 by Stefano Panterotto and Alexis Tourron, which has been working with Vitra since 2023. Their innovative approach combines design, technology and society in a unique way, which is clearly expressed in the versatility and well thought-out concept of the Anagram sofa.
