Corniches medium

Like small, natural ledges, the “ Corniches ” by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are flexible storage surfaces. The “ Corniches ” were created to provide a spontaneous place to store things, born out of the need for small storage solutions. “Just as we simply hang our things on a rock ledge before jumping into the water, we also need small places to stash things in our everyday lives,” explains Ronan Bouroullec. That’s why the “ Corniches ” are neither ordinary shelves nor simply horizontal surfaces, but rather individual, standalone ledges within the environments we create. Whether as a key rack next to the front door, a way to keep everything within quick reach in the bathroom, a display for a small collection of objects, or a large wall installation: “ Corniches ” offer yet another way to use our living space. The French brothers’ innovative designs always revolve around flexibility and lightness. The “ Corniches ” illustrate the concept of spontaneous storage. The “ Corniches ” are manufactured by Vitra from high-quality plastic and are available in various shapes, sizes, and colors.
