The Grand Relax is a spacious and luxurious armchair from Vitra that invites you to relax and ensures maximum comfort. The armchair was designed with Antonio Citterio’s classically understated aesthetic. When sitting down, the user sinks comfortably into the armchair and is cradled and embraced by the high backrest. The integrated, adjustable, and lockable reclining mechanism—concealed within the armchair—uses the latest technology to ensure the optimal reclining position. The seat and backrest move independently of one another in a synchronized manner. A rotary knob allows you to adjust how smoothly the mechanism operates, and the chair can be locked in any position. An ottoman is also available to match the armchair, which can be used to rest your feet or hold a serving tray.

Grand Relax it appears both compact and inviting. The carefully considered proportions of the low-profile frame, the long armrests, and the backrest that tapers upward give the armchair its character and make it a timeless eye-catcher. Leather covers the soft seat and back cushions, which rest loosely on the armchair, conform to the user’s body, and always return to their original shape. Thanks to the four-star aluminum base, the armchair can also swivel 360 degrees. The lower half of the backrest’s outer surface is edged with embossed split leather, forming a sort of shield that defines the armchair’s silhouette. The combination of the split leather sections with Premium leather creates a beautiful contrast between the armchair’s interior and exterior. The edging of the seat and ottoman bases is also upholstered with the embossed split leather. The armchair is available with various leather upholstery options and aluminum bases in polished, powder-coated “basic dark,” or “chestnut.”
