The NDSM Chair by Zuiver is an expressive design piece with cultural depth. Inspired by the famous NDSM shipyard in northern Amsterdam, the chair reflects the raw industrial aesthetic of historic harbor cranes and ship hulls. The slanted, sturdy wooden legs are reminiscent of the cranes’ supporting structures, while the gently rounded backrest echoes the flow of a ship’s lines—a successful fusion of function and form. Comfort is also a key focus: The softly padded seat, upholstered in bouclé fabric, ensures a pleasant feel and relaxed seating, even over extended periods. The clever design allows for easy assembly with just four screws—flat-packed, space-saving, and easy to assemble. - Faulty or defective items: return shipping is free of charge.
