Lights, like molten lava
With Melt, Tom Dixon has created a luminaire series that is produced using an innovative vacuum process. When the lamp is switched on, the balloon-like lampshades are reminiscent of molten lava, creating a special atmosphere throughout the room.
Together with the design collective Front, Tom Dixon has developed a luminaire that allows the light to shine through when it is in operation and has a mirror surface when it is switched off. Its inner luminosity is also visible in full daylight. The lampshade of the Melt luminaire is made of polycarbonate with a copper, chrome or gold coating.
The Melt luminaire is available in different versions as a floor, table or pendant luminaire.
