Description

The tissue box by Alessi dresses the practical paper tissue in an elegant coat. The tissues, which no bathroom should be missing, usually come in an unsightly cardboard box, which leads to us hiding them in the corner or in a cabinet.

Alessi and designer Piero Lissoni now put an end to this visual deficit: From now on, paper tissues can be proudly presented in elegant and stylish packaging, and as a design object by Alessi.

The tissue box convinces on its own or as part of an ensemble of the Birillo collection with its design, its elegant plainness and the characteristics which let the products of Piero Lissoni’s Birillo collection stand out from the rest of the bathroom accessories: Through the roundings at the bottom, the footprint is not visible at all, the objects of the family seem to float, to drift across the flat spaces of the bathroom.

The tissue dispenser is part of the bathroom collection Birillo, which was designed by the star designer Piero Lissoni for Alessi. Plain and beautiful, practical and extensive, Birillo offers the possibility of completing the bathroom and to give it an elegant and all around harmonic appearance.

For the design of Birillo, Piero Lissoni was inspired by the shape of a rounded square which evolves into different three-dimensional bodies. The designer himself describes the shape as an “imperfect square or completely misshapen round shape”.
