Alessi – an Italian design tradition

Alessi has existed in Italy since 1921, the year Giovanni Alessi Anghini founded the foundry and metal workshop.
As early as the 1950s, the company was supplying international hotels, restaurants and airlines with high-quality metal products such as bread baskets, sugar bowls and fruit bowls.
Today, the name Alessi is synonymous with Italian design and timeless design classics.

Alessi collections

The Alessi name brings together various collections and product lines that reflect different facets of the Italian company's design history.

The Alessi brand stands for high-quality design products for the kitchen and home. The range includes many well-known design classics, such as the legendary Juicy Salif lemon squeezer by Philippe Starck, as well as designs by renowned international designers and architects.

A di Alessi

Under the name A di Alessi, the company presented products in the spirit of "democratic design": designs with strong character at a more affordable price. These included colourful, playful designs as well as popular figures and accessories by designers such as Stefano Giovannoni, Massimo Giacon, Marcello Jori and Laura Polinoro.

Officina Alessi

Officina Alessi stood for particularly experimental and ambitious design projects, often produced in small quantities or limited editions. Leading architects and designers such as Richard Sapper and Aldo Rossi created designs for this line. The "Tea & Coffee Piazza" project played a major part in establishing Alessi's international reputation as an important representative of Italian design.

Alongside its various product lines, Alessi also developed collaborations and projects beyond the classic household goods sector:

Alessi Watches

With Alessi Watches, Alessi temporarily extended its design world to include wristwatches. Internationally renowned architects and designers created designs for the collection, translating their distinctive styles into the format of a watch.
