The right size and height depend very much on where you want to use your bench. One modern, clever idea is to use a bench instead of chairs at the dining table. A bench for the kitchen or dining room should be 45 cm high and ideally upholstered for comfortable seating. For harmonious proportions, it's best to choose a design bench that is slightly shorter than the dining table.
