Kabino is a simple, versatile sideboard with an exclusive appearance, designed by Simon Legald. One of two sliding doors has been made as an elegant plate with holes while the sideboard’s ash frame gives it a soft and warm appearance. Kabino fits in with most furnishing styles.
The designs by Simon Legald are often characterised by well-thought-out details. The designer especially concentrated on the door details when he designed Kabino, in order to loosen up the otherwise even surface and create a dynamic. This is for example shown by the handles, which have consciously been integrated into the doors.
Simon Legald says: “I like to work in the area of tension between craftsmanship and industry Modern sideboards often have either pure craftsmanship or pure industrial design.
I have played with production processes and material combinations and applied a synthesis of both worlds.” Kabino is available with white or grey doors and is suitable as a sideboard in the living room, dining room, hallway or bedroom. Kabino is also very good as TV furniture because of the cable holes and the perforated plate, which enables the use of a remote control even when the doors are closed.
