Frederik Roijé is a designer who has given his name to both a design agency and a design brand. As a designer, he aims to create products out of a love of surprise, curiosity and beauty – new products for a new era.
Frederik Roijé was born in the east of the Netherlands on 14 June 1978. In 2001, he graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven. Even then, his preference for interior objects was clear.
During his studies, Frederik Roijé completed internships with well-known designers such as Piero Lissoni in Milan in Italy and Marcel Wanders in Amsterdam.
In 2003, Frederik Roijé opened his own design studio in Amsterdam. The studio specialises in interior and product design and sees concept and innovation as the most important aspects of its designs.
Frederik Roijé's designs have attracted attention worldwide. Alongside his own collection, sold by his eponymous company, the manufacturer Droog Design has also produced products by Frederik Roijé. His work has been shown at numerous exhibitions and in many museums around the world.
