Catalan design
Eugeni Quitllet was born in 1972 and graduated from the Llotja Art School in Barcelona in Spain, where he still lives today. The Catalan artist sees himself as a mix of designer and dreamer. His utopia is a world without gravity, where everything is made of flowing curves. Born in Ibiza and raised in Barcelona, he is influenced above all by the beach and Gaudí's architecture.
Eugeni creates design objects that are a cross between paintings and sculptures – and that surprise you with a function. The brands he designs for include Lexon, Vondom and Kartell. In 2016, Maison&Objet named him Designer of the Year.
