Poetic, humorous design
Eva Schildt studied furniture and product design at the Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm in Sweden, graduating in 2001. In the same year, she began working as an independent designer.
Her work covers a wide range of products, including furniture, objects, textiles, accessories and packaging. Schildt often draws her inspiration from nature. She gives her ideas a poetic or humorous twist and plays with the shapes and objects of our everyday lives. The Swedish designer has demonstrated her creativity in collaborations with companies such as Design House Stockholm, Playsam and IKEA.
As well as working as a designer, Eva Schildt is a visiting lecturer at the Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm, the Iceland Academy of the Arts and the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
