Gubi Beetle Chair series by GamFratesi: hard shell, soft core
The Beetle range by design duo Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi – GamFratesi – is a perfect example of nature serving as a model in the modern world. The idea for the Beetle series came about when GamFratesi studied the anatomy and aesthetics of beetles in detail. The two were particularly fascinated by the interplay between the insect's shell and what lies inside: the hard shell protects and embraces the beetle's soft, vulnerable interior while giving it an elegant look.
The Beetle series picks up exactly these core elements: form, casing, hard shell, soft core.
Inspired by nature
The duo developed the Beetle Chair series for Gubi. The comfortable chairs adopt not only the beetle's look but also its versatility and timeless adaptability. In the office or at home, indoors or outdoors, for dining, relaxing or working: with its sturdy shell and soft, comfortable interior, the Gubi Beetle Chair offers timeless seating comfort.
