Canadian product designer Philippe Malouin studied in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Montreal in Canada and Paris in France before working for Tom Dixon in London, where he also opened his own studio in 2009.
The range of his work is as broad as the places he has worked: the French-Canadian designer has created tables, rugs, chairs, lights, art objects and installations. As well as working as an artist and designer, Philippe Malouin also teaches at the renowned Royal College of Art.
Philippe Malouin's designs are characterised by a graphic clarity that never feels severe, despite its strong presence. The cosmopolitan designer achieves this with soft shapes that give his clean lines a certain friendliness.
