Bertjan Pot - Designer

Bertjan Pot was born in the year 1975 in Niewleusen, Netherlands. He studied at the design academie in Eindhoven and founded “Monkey Boys” with Daniel White in the year 1999. Since 2003 he works as a self employed designer in cooperation with different international companies.

Pot also works as a freelance designer, fascinated by materials and industrial aproaches. His designs combine computer-aesthetic and industrial production methods always based on function and potential - his products are manufactured at Stitsch, Mooi, Arco, Domestic and Drisag among others.

He won the Elle Décor Award in 2005 with his Carbon Chair, which he developed together with Marcel Wanders for Moooi - which is also exposed in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York.
