A lighting and furniture series
The Pedrera series comes from Spanish architect and designer Barba Corsini. In 1953, the property company that managed Gaudí's famous residential building 'La Pedrera' in Barcelona in Spain asked him to design flats for the building's attic floor.
Barba Corsini went on to design 13 individual flats for the Pedrera building, which, out of superstition, were numbered 1 to 14. The flats were furnished with unusual, architectural-looking lights and furniture. Innovative in expression and choice of materials at the time, the series is now considered a classic and is produced by Danish manufacturer Gubi. Its well thought-out, refined design has lost none of its classic charm over the decades and brings a light atmosphere to modern and classic interiors alike.
