1. The brand behind the chairs
HAY works with emerging international designers. Founded in Horsens in 2002 by Rolf HAY, the brand first set out to furnish the University of Copenhagen with functional, considered furniture. Its range has since grown to include chairs, sofas, tables, everyday objects, glassware, office accessories and decorations.
2. HAY chairs: understated, practical and considered
HAY chairs combine simple construction with an understated look. Depending on the design and material, they are suitable for the home, office or outdoors. At Connox, you will find HAY chairs in colours and natural finishes, made from wood, metal or polypropylene. The range spans more accessible designs as well as more exclusive pieces, to suit different interiors and budgets.

About A Chair: Some designs have become style icons, including the About A Chair AAC 22. It has a four-legged soaped oak base and a polypropylene seat shell, available in white, grey, black and subtle shades. Designer Hee Welling created the About A Chair collection. Its simple, elegant design and easy-care surface make this HAY chair suitable for a conference table, as an office chair or in the dining area. Add a felt seat cushion for extra comfort. Welling's About A Lounge Chair is another option. This upholstered HAY chair comes in light grey and works as a designer armchair in a waiting area or living room.
Soft Edge: Designed by Iskos-Berlin, the Soft Edge collection includes robust chairs with a flexible feel and a stackable design. The seat and backrest of these designer dining chairs are ergonomically shaped and made from quality wood. Choose legs in wood or metal. With its very slim seat, the pared-back HAY design chair works in different areas of the home.
Palissade: Made from powder-coated steel, the Palissade collection includes weather-resistant chairs and other garden furniture. Rainwater runs between the slats, helping the furniture dry quickly. Comfortable seat and bench cushions add a welcoming touch to outdoor spaces. The collection can help create a relaxed garden setting.
