In designing “ Birillo ,” Piero Lissoni started with the shape of a rounded square, which evolves into various three-dimensional forms. The designer himself describes this shape as an “imperfect square or a completely failed circular form.” The combination of stainless steel and plastic (PMMA) also creates appealing contrasts in both appearance and texture.
