Description
Stylish designer bowl with an “explosion” look
The “ Alessi ” fruit basket ( Blow Up ), reminiscent of Mikado, is based on the idea of welding together hypothetical steel wire scraps to create various container shapes. All objects in the Alessi Blow Up collection share the unmistakable signature style of the Brazilian Campana brothers. The seemingly random arrangement of the individual metal rods—reminiscent of a game of Mikado or explosions—results in a bowl, a plate, or a fruit basket. Also interesting is the lively geometric play of shadows that emerges depending on the angle of the light. Humberto and Fernando Campana chose mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel as the material for the “ & ” Blow Up & fruit bowl.
