Soft Animals – The Big Five by Hoptimist

Hoptimist ’s soft decorative figures bring animal-inspired joy to every home—with charm, character, and little bouncing movements that simply make you happy. A gentle nudge is all it takes, and the little animals wiggle their heads—as if to say, “Everything will be okay!” The “The Big Five” series is inspired by Africa’s most famous wild animals, but in the typically playful Hoptimist style. Whether it’s a lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, or buffalo—here they aren’t out hunting, but on a mission to bring good cheer and a smile to everyday life. Behind the design lies the original idea of Gustav Ehrenreich, who created the “ Hoptimist ” in the late 1960s as a symbol of optimism and joie de vivre. Today, they’re iconic and part of Danish design history—available in many colors, sizes, and variations for young and old alike.

Playfully designed and inspired by Africa’s wildlife
Ideal as a gift or a charming decoration for a child’s room, office, or living room
Crafted with a focus on joy, quality, and the Danish design spirit
