Officina Alessi - Crevasse Flower Vase

Stylish Designer Vase

" Crevasse " is a sculptural flower vase designed by the renowned Iraqi star architect Zaha Hadid. The vase’s distinctive shape results from the combination of rotation and inversion of a trapezoidal form. The twisted sides of the Officina Alessi Crevasse emphasize the vertical axis, yet also lend the vase movement and agility, thereby introducing tension into the otherwise “frozen” form. In the case of “ Crevasse ,” the name refers to the source of inspiration for designer Zaha Hadid: The sharp outline of the stainless steel vase Crevasse juts into the space, seemingly cutting through it, much like the jagged edge of an arctic glacial crevasse ( Crevasse ). The multi-award-winning architect applied her architectural approach to product design for Crevasse , creating Crevasse —an elegant vase that makes no secret of its architectural roots and stands out from the crowd precisely because of them. With its sophisticated and clean-lined, elegant design, the “ Crevasse ” vase fits perfectly into the Officina Alessi collection, which has always featured Alessi ’s most sophisticated and experimental products.
