The collection JS . THONET is a tribute to the iconic tubular steel furniture from Thonet, reinterpreted by the renowned designer Jil Sander. Internationally acclaimed for her purist aesthetic, she combines precise craftsmanship, refined materials and timeless elegance in this unique collection.

With the two design lines Serious and Nordic, Jil Sander gives the legendary designs from the 1920s - including the cantilever chair S 64 and the B 97 coffee table - a new dimension. High-gloss lacquered wood details, refined tubular steel frames and seats and backrests made of Viennese wickerwork or leather create a subtle but striking evolution of the classic design.

Jil Sander found inspiration for the collection in luxurious and durable materials: the deep sheen of a Steinway grand piano, the supple feel of high-quality leather upholstery and the subtle elegance of nickel silver.
