Description
Designer Glass Lamp
Designed in 1996 by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen, the Block Lamp has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) since 2000. With its LED version, Design House Stockholm is making this lighting object ready for the future. The lamp captivates with its sculptural charm and pleasant light distribution.Glass lamp with LED
The Block Lamp LED is made of hand-cast clear glass, which is finished through an elaborate cooling process that gives the lamp its characteristic illusion of being a block of ice. The two glass halves simply rest on top of one another, enclosing the light source (E 14) of the Design House Stockholm Block Lamp LED. Thanks to the indirect lighting through the glass, the Block Lamp creates an atmospheric lighting effect on a table or on the floor.Award-Winning Design
Since the Block Lamp was introduced by Design House Stockholm , the lamp has been showered with design awards—including the Excellent Swedish Design Award (1998), the Design Plus Award (1999), and Best New Product at the Accent Show in New York (1999), to name just a few. A true designer lamp and a guaranteed eye-catcher for any living space.
