iF DESIGN AWARD
International Product Design Award
The iF Design Award is a real flagship when it comes to international design: for the 2021 call for entries alone, over 10. 000 applications were received from around 60 countries.
Founded in Hanover in 1953, the iF e.V. (Industry Forum) was founded in 1953 in Hanover under the leadership of the entrepreneur Philip Rosenthal and emerged from the Hanover Trade Fair Association and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). In terms of design, iF e.V. took the simple and functional design of the Bauhaus as its model: functional, beautiful design that reflects the spirit of the times.
Since then, the iF family has grown continuously - for example with the addition of the sustainability section iF Social Impact Prize or the non-profit iF Design Foundation.
At the heart of the iF family is the annual iF Award, which has become one of the most coveted independent prizes for industrial design.
