Bell Side Table

Side Table Made of Glass and Metal

The “ ClassiCon ” Bell side table by Sebastian Herkner turns conventional approaches to materials on their head and surprises the eye: Here, the table base becomes a striking, colorful, transparent glass form in the room, upon which a metal body rests. The glass lends the metal—which is, in itself, very heavy—a sense of floating lightness. The glass base, traditionally blown into a wooden mold, and the pressed metal body stand in an intriguing contrast to one another, yet formally form a harmonious unity reminiscent of the elegant curve of a bell. With their captivating reflections and material contrasts, these side tables become distinctive elements in the living space. They celebrate the beauty of the materials, their colors, surfaces, and traditional craftsmanship. The Bell Table by Sebastian Herkner is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. Each table is handmade; therefore, minor air bubbles or irregularities in the glass, for example, are not flaws but rather a desired, unique result of the manufacturing process. ClassiCon ’s coffee table is available in various color options, as well as with a metal top made of solid copper or brass, or burnished steel.
