The company name Hem is Swedish and means home. With furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories, Hem offers an extensive range for making your home cosy. Hem grew out of the former online store Fab, which specialised in accessories and tech products with a design focus.
With a new name and a new range, Hem now focuses exclusively on modern home products. Its designs with Scandinavian flair are produced in the Hem workshop in Helsinki in Finland. Made with attention to detail and natural materials, these are products you'll enjoy for a long time.
To put together its range, Hem works with international designers who create individual products for the home with a view to resource-efficient production as well as environmentally friendly packaging and transport.
Discipline
In 2015, the company pulled off a special coup: by taking over the licences, it brought all the products of the former company Discipline into Hem's production, including successful products such as the Re-Turned wooden figures, the Gemma boxes, the Drifted furniture series and the Roulé trays and bowls.
Discipline's designs focus on the environmentally responsible use of natural resources. Characteristic features of the design include the use of recyclable and natural raw materials such as cork and wood.
One Nordic
Alongside the designs of the Italian design company Discipline, Hem also took on the designs of the Finnish company One Nordic Furniture Company. All the designs in the One Nordic collection are flat-pack, saving packaging material and space. One Nordic products are particularly easy to assemble: they can be put together intuitively in just a few steps, usually without additional tools.
Alongside complete designs, Hem offers various modular systems that let you put together furniture individually and tailor it to your own ideas.
By working directly with designers and manufacturers, Hem offers quality products at fair prices.
