Timeless Lamp Series
The Gräshoppa series by Swedish American designer Greta Magnusson Grossman for Gubi embodies a stylish timelessness. Today, the Grasshopper lamp, designed in 1947, is undoubtedly Grossman's most famous design. The filigree structure of the lamps was named after the grasshopper.
While Greta Magnusson Grossman was inspired by the works of Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier, she followed her own style and influenced American mid-century design with her European modernism.
Grossmann received numerous prizes for her designs, that have lost none of their individual charm.
