Charles Eames created the House of Cards picture deck in 1952 and with it he created his most successful toy thus far. Having created small and medium versions of the House of Cards picture deck, a giant version is also now available.
20 differently shaped cards enable the construction of unique houses of cards which emerge individually according to how you feel. Giant House of Cards always makes for surprising, exciting moments and is a pastime you can really let yourself be absorbed in.
The individual cards each have 6 slots so that different constructions emerge when they are connected. However the highlight of House of Cards is not only the construction, but also the cards’ design. The pictures on the cards show images which could also be constructed in three-dimensional structures. The graphic markings are inspired by arts, science and daily life.
The message of the House of Cards motives is at the same time a message from Charles and Ray Eames: a glimpse of the things that surround us every day is enough to value art in its purest form.
