The idea of Bottle of Light by Eero Aarnio came because of an ancient fairy-tale about some fools that wanted to build a house without windows and finally tried to bring some light inside of it with bags.
Of course the idea with the bags didn’t work, but the Eero Aarnio designed bottles offer a lot of advantages. It doesn’t matter where light is needed; the bottles are simply transported by their handles. The playful shape and the handles allow surprising fixing possibilities – creativity is thereby unlimited.
The Bottle of Light is a table lamp and an iconic light object at the same time. It offers pleasant, diffuse light (E27 socket) and it is not so easy to break as its glassy relatives because of the resistant plastic material.
