Molldesign Description

Rainer Moll, born in 1947, studied industrial design at the university of design in the Swab Gmünd at Prof. Karl Dittert. In 1971 he founded the .molldesign studio in the Swab Gmünd, the studio is still led by him today, with meanwhile 10 employees. His approach in design lies in the tradition of the Ulm-university for design on one side, and in free arts on the other side. His designs therefore form a synthesis of functional, utility oriented solutions and emotional components. He himself embossed the phrase “strategic Design” for his work: this means the holistic integration of all product relevant parameters into the design process. He received numerous awards inside and outside of his country for his works. .molldesign was selected the “Design-Team of the Year” from the design center Nordrhein Westfalen.
