Zieta Prozessdesign

Zieta is a Polish company that has been founded by Oskar Zieta in 2007. Zieta Prozessdesign's aim is to develop innovative design in smarter technologies for the future.

The company’s founder Oskar Zieta studied architecture in Stettin and afterwards began his further studies at the ETH Zürich, where he assists as a teacher for CAAD (Computer Aided Architectural Design) since 2003. Already during his studies he focused on the area of working metal bleach and developed the so called “FIDU-Technology”.

FIDU (Freie Innen Druck Umformung) stands for the Internal Pressure Forming - which implies inflating two steel sheets welded around their edges into a 3d object. It takes only two thin steel sheets to create a complicated and very durable 3d object from steel in FIDU. It allows to create innovative, customized, bionic shapes and fully recyclable objects using very efficient mass production processes and individualized shaping methods. The technology can be applied to form new design shapes but also as an ultra-light construction of great weight-capacity for design and architectural elements.

Beside the well known centre, the Plopp Stool which has been honoured with the Red Dot Award in 2008, further objects came together in the Zieta standard-collection. Moreover Zieta also has the collections Zieta Beta and Zieta Limited that include original products of experimental and prototype phases, or limited editions of high quality materials like brass or copper.
