Powerful colours and patterns, abstract and geometric shapes or unique colour constellations: That’s Alexander Girard’s world. The architect and designer belongs to the embossing figures of American Post War design. The focus of his creation was designing textiles, where he developed his love for colours, textures and graphic patterns. His designs, like the Hand and Dove Canvas Graphic now expand the accessories collection of Vitra.
Alexander Girard develops his screen-print panels since 1971. They were made to equip offices, adding emotional components to them, making them more vital: the Environmental Enrichment Panels, which also include the Hand and Dove Canvas Graphic. Thereby he prefers to work with abstract graphic patterns or with figurative images of known motives like love, comfort, liberty, etc. The wide wall panels with their versatile, inspiring motives are as well suitable to be used in private rooms.
The re-edition of the Environmental Enrichment Panels by Vitra doesn’t only include the Hand and Dove Canvas Graphic, but also motives of different sizes, high class screen-prints on canvas. The Vitra art prints appear on a board with distance frames, they are easily fixed and become individual decoration pieces for homes and working places. Also in our blog:
