Inspired by antique three-dimensions wooden puzzles, the design team ding3000 designed a couch table for Normann Copenhagen, which is kept together without screws or tools – gravity is enough.
The Ding couch table simply consists of three legs, made of oak wood. If they are plugged, they make up a sculptural knot, which serves as base for the round table tip. The rounded, inclined legs give stable hold to the Ding couch table by Normann Copenhagen, safely holding the glass top.
ding3000 explained about their couch table: ”The three legs seem to get through themselves by impossible paths, and it was our intention to make that magical detail the center of attention. That’s the reason why we chose a transparent table top, in order to direct the focus of our table to the interplay of the legs.”
