The Urban series by Wildlife World is a collection of contemporary elements which brings back wildlife habitat for wild animals into urban areas. Matching city life, the design is minimalist and functional.
With the Urban Insect Hotel you can offer insects a species-appropriate housing. The grooves and chambers in the inner are optimally adapted to the sizes of bugs, spiders, butterflies and further insects for excellent nesting or overwintering in the inner cassette. Additionally, the hollow spaces can be filled with tree barks, small branches or leaves in order to arrange the Insect Hotel individually to attract special insects. Different insects provide different advantages, for example in summer spiders keep flies and mosquitoes away from the living space or ladybeetles fight unwelcome plant louses on flowers and plants.
The housing for insects convinces by a modern design and its innovative materials: The outer shell of the Urban Insect Hotel is made from Clayplas+ which is a composite material of clay and recycled plastics. This material is very durable and also has great environmental credentials due to the recycled element. The removable inner cassette of the Insect Hotel is made from acacia wood. Each outer shell has dual keyhole hanging points to allow the Insect Hotel to be hung square on or as a diamond to suit. Both the outer and the inner part of the Insect Hotel has small holes which make sure that potential water can run off.
Next to the Insect Hotel, the Urban series by Wildlife World also offers a Bee Nester, a Bird Feeder as well as a Bird Nestbox. All elements have the same reduced design in common which creates a homogenous overall picture when all are hung up together.
Additionally and on request, there is a base plate available. This can be assembled like a socket between wall and the single elements whereby a further contrast is aesthetically created.
