Round plant pot made of robust material
From XXL to XXS: the seven graduated sizes of amei's round planter make it particularly easy for the committed pot gardener to train his green thumb by repotting regularly, while remaining true to his style. Because once the plant has outgrown one round, it goes straight into the next larger one!
Depending on the type of plant, repotting is recommended every 2 to 3 years, whereby the diameter of the container should be at least 2 to 4 cm larger (up to 10 cm for large plants). For the round pots amei offers different inserts: The waterproof silicone insert in all sizes, the robust rubber insert with carrying handles for easier relocation only for the two large sizes.
Amei planters are naturally beautiful and exceptionally robust. They are made of the technically sophisticated composite material Stonefiber - a mixture of polyester resin and ground stone, in which additionally inserted strands of fiberglass achieve a particularly high stability.
Handmade Stonefiber
On the one hand, the amei pots fascinate with their high-quality mineral look, which in the black models develops a natural, grey patina after a few months. On the other hand Stonefiber is shock and frost resistant. The pots can therefore withstand minor falls, tipping over during storms and wintering outdoors generally unscathed. In direct comparison to stone or clay pots, they score with a significantly reduced weight due to the lower material thickness, which makes handling easier.
If you use the amei planters outside and they stand there unprotected in the rain, please make water drainage holes in the bottom of the pot with a drill and a standard masonry drill, otherwise there is a risk of root rot due to stagnant moisture collecting in the pot.
More details:
We would like to point out that small traces on the surface, unevenness and a slight fading of the material are part of the natural and intended properties of the Stonefiber material. All amei planters are individually handmade, so that it comes to such traces due to production. However, these can be easily removed with a little household oil or shoe polish.
