The Berlin design office rephorm develops objects for the interface between indoors and outdoors. Architect and designer Michael Hilgers designs innovative furniture and products made of weather-proof materials in response to the spatial conditions on balconies.
Up until now lovers of design had no choice but to look out of their stylishly designed living room onto bourgeois homeware store articles. The rephorm products now help to make this fallow land for design arable: The designs are not foreign bodies which have to be somehow screwed on somewhere but fit in to their habitat through their design; the spaces which couldn't be used until now will become living room extensions, meaningful accessories making an individual urban nature experience possible.
