Nature meets modern technic – the LED Clock from the Japanese designer Koiji Iwasaki look like a simple wood block – until it is switched on – thanks to modern technic, the organic charming block informs about the time.
The numbers are projected at the wood’s surface because the thin veneering allows the LED to shine through from the inside.
In the year 2002 the clock won the first prize at the renowned international Asahikjawa Design Fair. This clock only shows the time, but its design shows much more than that.
The Japanese Kouji Iwasaki was born in 1965 and studied at the Nishimura Mashamitsu Design Studio. With his LED-Clock TO:CA he won the first prize on the Asahikawa International Furniture Design Fair in 2002. Designer Kouji Iwasaki
